At Dr. Schafer Orthodontics we work hard to make you feel right at home. We put your needs first all the while achieving efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is well trained and highly skilled. We strive to provide superlative service to each patient at every visit with us.
Katie – Office manager
When I began working for Dr. Schafer in 2000, I was a clinical orthodontic assistant. I currently am the financial and scheduling coordinator. I strive each day to make your visit to our office as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. My goal is to have each patient and parent leave happy and pleased with our staff.
In my free time, I try to spend as much time as possible with my daughter, Carson. She is currently obtaining her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy at Ithaca College. As a family, we enjoy traveling and trying new cuisines. I also love spending time with my two Goldendoodles, Bentley and Piper. I look forward to the times I can walk for fitness, ski, work in my yard, and relax with a good book.
Sandra – Clinical Assistant
My name is Sandra Briggs. I was born and raised in Cohocton where I now own a home with my husband and our three children Eythan, Caitlyn, and Jayce.
Our Children have always been involved in sports, so during our free time if we are not at one of Caitlyn’s dance recitals or an Ice Hockey game of Eythan’s and soon to be Jayce you can find camping during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
During the winter months we build a backyard ice rink where we spend a lot of time with family and friends.
I have been a part of Dr. Schafer’s Orthodontic team for 5years. It has been great getting to know the faces and families of our community as well as the surrounding communities.
Jen – Clinical Assistant
My name is Jen Harrell. I was born in in Cape Coral, FL and moved to Springwater, NY a few years later.
Growing up, I was always involved with the outdoors, so in my spare time you can find me hunting or fishing with my Lab, Otto by my side! I also enjoy horseback riding, road trips, and boating.
I graduated from FLCC with a degree in Fish & Wildlife Technology, struggling to find a job, I found myself on a new path as a dental assistant. I fell in love with helping people learn the importance of a beautiful, healthy smile! In 2018, I joined Dr. Schafer’s orthodontic team as a clinical assistant. I love getting to know new people in our community and working alongside Dr. Schafer as she helps to give them perfect smiles!
Piper and Bentley
Upon arriving at our office, you will find one of these gorgeous golden doodles waiting to greet you with a wagging tail. Piper and Bentley bring love, calmness, entertainment, and positive energy to the office each day! They enjoy being rewarded for their good behavior from their treat jar.
